1. What the App does
The App helps you discover and control compatible speakers, play supported audio, make recordings, and stream live microphone audio to a speaker. Some features require a local network connection, device permissions, compatible hardware, or a Sonos account. Features may vary depending on your devices, network, and third-party services.
2. Your responsibilities
You must use the App lawfully and only with speakers, accounts, audio, and networks you are authorized to access. You are responsible for obtaining any permission required to record or stream audio, and for respecting other people’s privacy and intellectual-property rights.
You must not use the App to interfere with services or devices, bypass access controls, or transmit content you do not have the right to use.
3. Sonos and other third-party services
If you connect a Sonos account, your use of Sonos products and services remains subject to Sonos’s applicable terms and policies. Sonos and other third-party services may change, become unavailable, or affect how App features work. The App is an independent application and is not endorsed by Sonos unless expressly stated otherwise.
4. Your content
You retain any rights you have in audio files and recordings you use with the App. You are responsible for that content and for ensuring that your use of it complies with applicable law. The App needs to access or transmit selected audio as necessary to provide playback and streaming features.
5. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue App features. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every speaker, device, network, or third-party service.
6. Disclaimer and liability
The App is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by network failures, incompatible devices, third-party service interruptions, or misuse of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
7. Ending use
You may stop using the App at any time. You can disconnect your Sonos account in the App and delete saved recordings. We may restrict access to backend features if necessary to address misuse, security issues, or legal requirements.
8. Apple terms
If you downloaded the App through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s applicable terms, including its Standard End User License Agreement where applicable, also govern your use of the App. Apple is not responsible for providing support for the App.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the App or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new effective date. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
