1. About this policy
DLD Innovation Company Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides the Screen Mirroring iOS application (the “App”). This policy explains how information is handled when you discover compatible receivers, mirror your screen, cast media, or contact us.
The current App works primarily over your local network and does not require a DLD account. This policy covers our App and support services; receiver manufacturers, Apple, and websites you visit have their own privacy practices.
2. Screen sharing and audio
When you start a screen broadcast using the iOS broadcast controls, the App’s broadcast extension processes screen frames and supported device audio to transmit them to your selected receiver. If you enable microphone capture and grant permission, supported broadcast modes can also process microphone audio. Audio availability depends on the broadcast mode, iOS, the source app, and your receiver.
A broadcast can reveal anything visible on your screen, including notifications, messages, photos, and information in other apps. Microphone audio can include nearby conversations. Check the receiving display and your surroundings before starting, hide sensitive notifications, and stop broadcasting using the iOS broadcast controls when finished. Closing the App’s main screen alone may not stop an active broadcast.
Screen and audio data are encoded and buffered on your device for transmission over the local network. The App does not upload the broadcast to a DLD cloud recording service. The receiver and anyone who can see or hear it receive the content you share; we cannot control recording or further use by those recipients.
3. Photos, videos, and music
The App uses Apple’s system photo picker to access photos and videos you select, rather than requesting unrestricted photo-library access for that picker. If selected media is stored in iCloud, Apple may download it to your device before it can be used.
With your permission, the music-library feature reads available local music information, such as track titles, artists, artwork, duration, and file availability, so you can choose supported, unprotected audio to cast. Protected or unavailable tracks may not be playable.
Selected media may be copied, converted, and cached on your device and served to the receiver through a local HTTP server. Files and associated titles, artwork, or embedded metadata may be available to the receiver. We do not upload these selected media files to a DLD cloud server.
4. Device information and permissions
To discover and connect to compatible receivers, the App processes local IP addresses, device names and identifiers, manufacturer or model details, supported protocols, service addresses, and connection status. A manually entered receiver address is used to establish the connection. Recent or selected device information and preferences are stored locally, including in storage shared between the App and its broadcast extension.
Settings and local session information can include your selected receiver, mirroring quality, transport preferences, connection errors, and stream performance measurements. These support connection management and troubleshooting.
Local Network permission is used for device discovery and communication. Microphone permission supports microphone capture when enabled. Music-library permission supports audio selection. Notification permission allows local status or session notifications. You can change permissions in iOS Settings; disabling a permission may prevent the associated feature from working.
5. Support and external services
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any device details, screenshots, or diagnostics you choose to include. We use them to respond and troubleshoot. Avoid sending passwords, private recordings, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.
The current App does not integrate advertising, cross-app advertising tracking, or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. Apple may separately process App Store, operating-system, and diagnostic information under your Apple settings and its Privacy Policy.
Opening our legal or support website makes an ordinary web request. Hosting providers may process your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and technical request logs to deliver and protect the website. Website requests do not include your mirrored screen or selected media. Email providers process support communications to deliver and maintain that service.
6. Purposes and sharing
We use the information described here to provide the features you request, remember preferences, maintain connections, respond to support, protect services, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Where a legal basis is required, it may be performance of our agreement for requested features, consent for processing that requires it, legitimate interests in necessary support and security where not overridden by your rights, or compliance with law.
Your chosen receiver receives content and connection information needed for mirroring or casting. Our hosting and email providers process website and support information for those services. We may disclose information we hold where legally required, to protect rights or security, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
7. Storage and retention
Prepared media files are cached locally and may remain after a casting session until removed by the App, its data is deleted, or iOS clears the cache. Live broadcasts use temporary buffers and stream data; ending a session stops further capture for that session but does not recall content already received or recorded elsewhere.
Preferences, recent devices, and local diagnostic or session records remain until replaced or removed. Deleting the App generally removes its app-container data; offloading the App may retain it. Shared app-group storage and backups follow iOS storage and backup behavior. Removing a cached copy does not delete an original photo, video, or song.
We keep support correspondence and website operational information only for as long as reasonably necessary for their stated purposes, resolving disputes, and legal obligations. Retention depends on the request, record, and service involved. You can contact us to request deletion of information we hold. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete information stored only on your device or someone else’s receiver.
8. Network security and international processing
Use mirroring and casting only on a trusted network. Local discovery, control, and media delivery can use unencrypted protocols, including HTTP. A device on the network that obtains a stream or media URL may be able to access it while it is available. Do not expose the App’s local server to the public internet. We do not promise end-to-end encryption or that a receiving device cannot save the content.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, but no system is completely secure. Support and website service providers may process information outside your country, where laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate legal safeguards for such transfers. Contact us for information about transfers relevant to your request.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You can choose the receiving device and media, stop a broadcast, disable microphone capture, revoke permissions in iOS Settings, and stop using or delete the App. These controls do not delete copies already received by others.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information we hold; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact contact@dld.asia to exercise your rights. We may request proportionate verification and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. Where available, you may appeal a denied request by contacting us for review. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Children and policy updates
The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or a higher age where applicable law requires it, without necessary authorization. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy as features or practices change. We will publish the updated effective date, provide additional notice, and obtain consent where required before applying changes that require it.
