1. Who We Are

TV Remote (SAMMOTE) is operated by DLD Innovation Company Limited, located at 217 Nguyen Cong Hoan Street, An Khe Ward, Da Nang City, Vietnam (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our Android application (the “App”), including its remote control, TV app launching, media casting, advertising, and support features.

2. Information Used for TV Connections

To discover and connect to compatible TVs, the App processes information such as TV names, models, device identifiers, local IP addresses, connection status, and pairing credentials.

Saved TV details and preferences are stored locally on your Android device. Pairing credentials are encrypted using Android’s device security facilities.

Remote commands and text you enter using the App’s keyboard are transmitted to your selected TV. If you use the Paste feature, the pasted clipboard content is used to enter text for your TV.

These features do not upload your pairing credentials or keyboard text to servers operated by us.

3. Photos and Videos

The App accesses photos and videos you select through the Android media picker.

To prepare selected media for casting, the App may read file names, media types, file sizes, video duration, and other relevant metadata. It may create thumbnails, temporary copies, or converted versions on your device.

When you cast, selected media and relevant playback information are made available to your selected TV over your local network. Original media files are not modified by the casting process.

The App’s casting feature does not upload your selected photos or videos to servers operated by us or submit them to our advertising provider.

4. Local Preferences and Temporary Files

The App stores settings such as haptic feedback preferences, onboarding completion, saved TV connections, and photo display duration locally.

Temporary casting files may remain in the App’s cache until you remove the corresponding media, clear the playlist, or the App or Android clears those files.

You can remove locally stored App data through Android’s app storage settings or by uninstalling the App. This does not delete your original photos or videos or information independently retained by your TV or third-party services.

5. Advertising and Google Services

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner, native, interstitial, and app-open advertisements.

Google’s advertising SDK processes information such as IP addresses, advertising and other device identifiers, app and advertisement interactions, and diagnostic information. An IP address may be used to estimate a device’s general location. This processing supports advertising, measurement, service operation, and fraud prevention.

Further information is available in Google’s advertising SDK data disclosure and Google’s Privacy Policy.

The App also uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent where required.

Advertising data is processed by Google and applicable advertising partners under their respective policies. Advertising-related measurement may occur even though the App does not separately integrate Firebase Analytics.

6. Advertising Choices and Consent

Where required, you will be presented with privacy choices before advertising data is processed on the relevant consent basis.

Where available, you can review or change these choices through Settings → Privacy Choices in the App. You can also use the advertising privacy controls provided by your Android device.

Depending on your location, choices, and applicable requirements, advertisements may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited. Non-personalized advertising may still require information for purposes such as measurement, security, or fraud prevention.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

7. Permissions and Device Features

The App uses network access to discover TVs, establish connections, send commands, cast media, load advertisements, and open support or legal pages.

It may also use local network discovery, vibration for haptic feedback, and functionality that keeps the screen awake during certain casting operations.

Media access is used for content you select. You can manage available permissions through Android settings. Restricting access may prevent related features from working.

8. Support and In-App Web Pages

If you contact us, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details, message, and any screenshots or technical details you submit.

We use this information to respond to your request, investigate reported problems, and maintain support records.

Contact and legal pages may open inside the App’s embedded browser. Loading a web page sends information such as your IP address and browser information to the website and its service providers. Websites may also use cookies or local storage, subject to their applicable notices and consent requirements.

9. How Information Is Used and Disclosed

Information is used to:

  • Discover, pair with, and control compatible TVs.
  • Prepare and cast selected media.
  • Remember your settings and connections.
  • Provide advertising and manage privacy choices.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Information may be disclosed to your selected TV, Google and relevant advertising partners, website and support service providers, or authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Your TV manufacturer and applications running on your TV may independently process information under their own privacy policies.

10. Legal Bases and International Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on providing functionality you request, your consent, legitimate interests such as security and support, or compliance with legal obligations.

Google, website providers, and support service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required by applicable law, relevant safeguards must apply to those transfers.

11. Retention

Local settings and pairing information generally remain on your device until removed or until the App’s data is cleared.

Support information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to address your request, maintain relevant records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Google and other third parties retain information according to their own policies and applicable requirements.

12. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed, including protection of stored pairing credentials.

Some TV control and casting protocols communicate over the local network without transport encryption. Use these features on networks you trust.

No storage system or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising-related uses.

You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data protection authority.

Contact us to make a request concerning information we hold. We may need to verify your identity. Information stored only on your device can generally be removed through Android’s app storage controls. Requests concerning information independently held by Google or another provider may need to be submitted to that provider.

14. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in circumstances where parental consent is legally required and has not been obtained.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, data practices, or legal requirements.

The updated version will include a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before implementing relevant changes.
